Disproportionate burden
Subsections, which are not barrier-free, because they represent a disproportionate
burden (BremBGG ยง 13 (5)):
-
Description of barrier: No content in simple language
Explanation why a disproportionate burden is present:
Scientific texts can only partially be broken down to simple language. This requires
translators who are not available at the AWI. Whether this can be remedied is still
open.
Barrier-free alternative: None
-
Description of barrier: Inconsistent tab-order
Explanation why a disproportionate burden is present:
Changing the sequence in existing systems is very time-consuming. This can be
better taken into account for new projects, but less so for microsites.
Barrier-free alternative: None
-
Description of barrier: No (verified) barrier-free PDFs
Explanation why a disproportionate burden is present:
PDFs are not edited afterwards. Creators can only be urged to pay attention to
accessibility when creating a PDF file. However, technical requirements are
rarely given here.
