| Abstract | The South Atlantic crossing is a multidisciplinary ocean survey of the South Atlantic gyre roughly along 34.5°S. This transect is covered by the international SAMOC moored array and also the path of the internationally agreed A X18 XBT line. Most of the measurements during M133 are based on using under-way methods including near-surface water sampling for the determination of near surface temperature and salinity as well as shipboard ADCP current observations. Though multibeam has been recorded during the cruise, it was not a major focus and the responsible party provided no acquisition information. |
