| Abstract | During SO116 in the Bay of Bengal meteorologists, oceanographers and geologists carried out research activities related to air-sea interaction, marine sedimentation and the formation of deep sea channels in an area which is characterised by the enormous river discharge from the Ganges-Brahmaputra river system and the largest deep sea fan in the world ocean. Though multibeam data has been recorded it was not the main focus of the cruise and no acquisition information has been provided by the responsible party. |
