Purpose | |
Abstract | SONNE-128 had as main objective to measure the exchange of water masses across the southern part of the Arabian Sea and to investigate the Somali Current circulation during the winter monsoon and compare them with earlier own measurement during the sommer monsoon. The cruise SONNE-128 brought forth a high quality data set along a section across the Arabian Sea at 8°N westward from the western 200-nm zone of the Maldives and further sections in the region of the northern Somali Current. Though multibeam data has been recorded it was not the main focus of the cruise and no acquisition information has been provided by the responsible party. |
