Purpose | |
Abstract | The main objectives of Cruise SO140-1 were to carry out Parasound surveying and sediment coring on the Vietnam shelf and to reconstruct the post-Pleistocene transgression, and to understand its effects on terrigenous fluxes, paleoceanography and upwelling during the Pleistocene/Holocene transition at the western margin of the South China Sea. During SO140 the HSDS was used for continuous bathymetric recording, but it was not the main focus of the cruise and the responsible party provided no further acquisition information. |
