Abstract | SO147 focused on the bacterial controlled geochemical processes at the oxic/anoxic water-sediment-interface, on the early diagenetic modification of the organic material and on the fluxes of methane, sulphur, and phosphor. The understanding of the presently active processes and the resulting sedimentary products will be used to interpret the variations of the sedimentary upwelling record during the Last Glacial and the Holocene. Bathymetric data were continuously recorded. All data were stored on magnetic tape. Onboard a bathymetric map could not be produced, as individual sweeps of adjoining tracks did not overlap |
