Purpose | |
Abstract | The major objective of SO158 was the systematic sampling of volcanic rocks in the area north of the Galapagos archipelago and from the Galapagos spreading center between 85° and 93°W to map out geochemical gradients in volcanic rocks. Though the EM120 was used continuously during SO158 it was not the focus of the cruise therefore no other acquisition information have been provided, except that the three sound velocity profiles that have been taken were sufficient to represent the changes in the water column. |
