Abstract | The overall objective of SO161 was to investigate the structure and the geological history of the convergent margin off Chile and define its key parameters. While Leg 4 investigated the effects of subducting aseismic ridges and fracture zone on seismicity and structure of the Chile Margin. The EM120 was routinely used during SO-161. During rough weather conditions, sharp and fast turns at waypoints, or when the vessel speeds up after station work, accurate reception of acoustic signals was hampered probably due to air bubbles below the transducers. Other acquisition information has not been provided by the responsible party. |
