Abstract | RV SONNE cruise SO176 set out to collect geophysical data on the Java margin and incoming oceanic plate to better understand processes of fundamental importance related to the mechanics and the development during plate convergence. During the first night of SO 176 cruise, the Simrad EM 120 multibeam echosounder, available on R/V SONNE since June 2001, was calibrated during several dedicated profiles. Though the EM 120 was used continuously, it was not the main focus of SO179 no further information has been provided by the responsible party. |
