| Abstract | Research cruise SO-186/1 was the first in a series of cruises with R/V Sonne which will carry out geophysical and geological research along major parts of the Sunda subduction zone along the western margin of the Indonesian archipelago before the end of 2006. During cruise SO-186/1 a total of ~6800 km bathymetry and gravity profiles was sailed. On 5800 km magnetic data were recorded. The mapped seafloor area encompasses ~70.000 km2 |
