Purpose | |
Abstract | Cruise M98 dealt with two projects RACE and SACUS. Both projects have the overarching goal to gain better understanding for the role of the tropical Atlantic in relation to climate variability in the Atlantic region. RACE investigate the variability of the western boundary current system offshore of South America and SACUS dealt with the topic of the influence of the equatorial Atlantic on the upwelling of Southwest Africa. CDT data were collected. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
