Abstract | Cruise SO-192/2 visited volcanic complexes and associated vent sites at the southern and northernmost Kermadec and the southern Tonga volcanic arcs, and at the southern Valu Fa Ridge. Key objectives were to study the fluid and geochemical input and output in the Tonga-Kermadec subduction zone in order to examine the relationship between tectonic, magmatic and hydrothermal processes along this volcanic chain. 360 km of bathymetric mapping was conducted with the EM120 system. The responsible party provided no further information regarding the sea state and acquisition settings. |
