Abstract | Aim of the Project SO-214, NEMESYS, was the investigation of Methane transport processes in both, a local and a regional focus. As well facies of Cold vents and hydrate occurrences along an accretionary complex, the Hikurangi Margin east of the North Island, will be characterized. During SO214 a swath width of 120 or 100° was usually used for mapping. The system kept running during the entire time and only occasionally the recoding was turned off when the ship was on station (e.g. recovery of OBS stations). New raw data files were started about every hour. |
