Abstract | Cruise M121 was dedicated to the investigation of the distribution of dissolved and particulate trace metals and their isotopic compositions (TEIs) in the full water column of the Angola Basin and the northernmost Cape Basin. During the whole cruise two vessel mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (VMADCP), the 75kHz RDI Ocean Surveyor and the 38kHz RDI Ocean Surveyor were used. The 75kHz ADCP lost velocity data. The 12kHz echosounder EM122 was in use during the entire cruise and delivered high quality bathymetry data without noticeable interference. To record multibeam data was not the main focus of the cruise and no further informations have been provided by the responsible party. |
