Abstract | The main objective of RV METEOR Cruise M134 was to investigate emissions of free gas from crossshelf troughs of South Georgia, their distribution, quantification, and sources for methane ebullition sites in sub-Antarctic waters. The deep-water multibeam system was only operating when the water depth was deeper than 500 m or for short dedicated survey in order to achieve better backscatter information and mainly for transits. The swath width was set to 130° and the mode to high density equidistant. |
