Purpose | |
Abstract | Pelagia is equipped with a Kongsberg model EM300 multibeam swath bathymetry system, in conjunction with a Kongsberg Seapath GPS and TSS heave/attitude sensors. Operating frequency is 31.5kHz, sweep-angle from port to starboard 2x65 degrees max. that in some cases has been restricted to 2x55 degrees to obtain a better raw bottom contour. In all major regions investigated a CTD-profile was made to derive a local sound velocity (sv) profile for sv-calibration of the multibeam. The grid was set to 128x128 with a cell size of 15x15 meters. Output was raw data only, no post-processing was performed. |
