Abstract | During Cruise MSM16-3 the Kongsberg Simrad system EM1002 was continuously used for bathymetric mapping water depths up to 800 m. During the approach to the survey area the system was lowered in the shipis moon pool and permanently engaged. In general the system worked reliable. The EM1002 system was used for high-resolution bathymetric mapping in water depths from 30 m to 800 m. Beside the depth values, the EM1002 provides also backscatter values and pseudo-sidescan images. |
