| Purpose | |
| Abstract | During Leg 2 of M13 new data on water physics, chemistry, plankton productivity, benthos activity and sediment distribution was collected. Special studies were related to the distribution and ecology of sponges. The scientific program included hydroaccoustic/seismic surveys, sediment sampling (10 m cores) and geochemical methods to analyseo these samples. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep Data were collected- The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
