Purpose
Abstract Along two transects during the second leg of M23 sediment sampling and geochemical in situ measurements were done at the continental margin of the Argentine and Brazil Basin, These data should be used to investigate glacial/interglacial palaeao-oceanographic variability. Additionally a high resolution bathymetric survey on the continental slope northeast of Rio de Janeiro was done to investigate the pathways of the sediment transport. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep Data were collected- The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party.
