Purpose
Abstract The aim of Meteor cruise M24 was a detailed analysis of the facies variations of different types of volcanoclastic deposits on the submarine flanks of Gran Canaria. During the first part of the cruise a high resolution seismic array was used acquiring about 50 profiles. Refraction seismic surveys containing 8 OBS systems were done during the second part of the cruise. Additionally gravity measurements were done during the entire cruise and magnetic measurements were done during the seismic profiling. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep Data were collected- The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party.
