Abstract | The main objective of the cruise M32/1 was the deployment of a complex array (WOCE ICM-7) of rotor current meters and self-recording ADCPs across the northern Somali Current region. The quiet weather during M32/1 was used for a detailed investigation of the deep currents and water mass properties within and on the eastern side of the Owen Fracture Zone which showed an eastward deep throughflow from the Somali to the Arabian Basin. 8927 km of multibeam echosounding data have been recorded further acquisition information were not provided. |
