Abstract | The aim of Meteor cruise M43-1 was to study the geodynamic evolution of intraplate volcanic edifices and their mantle sources along the boundary zone oceanic-continental lithosphere extending from the central to the western Canary Islands and as far south as the Saharan Seamount group. During cruise M43/1, the shipboard acoustical systems HYDROSWEEP was used on a 24 hour schedule and 3600 km of data was recorded. |
