Abstract | During the cruise M50 leg 2 hydrographic measurements were done in the eastern basin of the subpolar North Atlantic using CTD rosette systems and the ship mounted ADCP. Additionally mooring stations were exchanged. This all was done to investigate the variability of water mass transformations ansd its relation to the large scale deep circulation. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep and Parasound Data were collected. The used Hydrosweep is a multibeam echosounder using a frequency of 15.5 kHz. The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
