Abstract | The cruise M50/3 continued to work done in the project VEINS (Variability of exchanges in the Northern Seas). Therefore the fluxes and exchanges of water masses between the Denmark Strait to the southern part of Greenland were investigatedThe scientific program included measurements and sampling by a CTD rosette system and measurements taken by the vessel mounted ADCP system. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep and Parasound Data were collected. The used Hydrosweep is a multibeam echosounder using a frequency of 15.5 kHz. The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
