| Abstract | The main research interest of M51/1 was sampling information about the volcanic structures in the eastern north Atlantic. The scientific program included sampling bathymetric date using the ship mounted Hydrosweep system and dredge sampling. During the entire cruise Hydrosweep and Parasound Data were collected. The used Hydrosweep is a multibeam echosounder using a frequency of 15.5 kHz. The quality of profiles varies coherent to weather conditions and ship course. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
