Purpose
Abstract The main scientific aim of the cruise M59/3 was to investigate and to quantify componets that have an influence on the formation and transformation of water masses as well as the export of newly formed water masses. Therefore the focus of the first part was on processes in the Labrodor Sea. The target of the second part was to investigate the boundary current system, which influences the export of newly formed water masses. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party.
