Abstract | In the frame of M67/1 it was planned to map the entire continental margin between 33°30S and 36°S with multi beam bathymetry. 20 profiles with a total length of 1850 nautical miles were needed to cover the unmapped area. The coring programme was followed by a bathymetric survey with EM120, EM710 and PARASOUND mapping of an area showing water depths of 800 m to 1100 m.Though multibeam data has been recorded during the cruise, it was the major focus but the responsible party provided no acquisition information. |
