Purpose | |
Abstract | The understanding of the formation mechanisms and the evolution of the continental margins of the Western Mediterranean has been hampered by the lack of modern geophysical data. During M69/2 two seismic refraction and wide-angle profiles were acquired in the Alboran Sea to study the structure of the Alboran Sea and the transition from the Alboran Sea into the adjacent eastern basin of unknown nature. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise and no further information have been provided by the responsible party. |
