Purpose | |
Abstract | Leg METEOR M71/1 focused on physical, biogeochemical and biological sampling at the Anaximander Mountains. The primary goal of the studies at the Anaximenes Mountain, which is one of the three peaks of the Anaximander Mountains, was to assess if a seamount ecosystem in an oligotrophic region with a warm deep-water layer is comparable with similar topographic features in the NE-Atlantic. Though multibeam data was recorded, it was not the main focus of the cruise. |
