Abstract | During the transit from Capetown to Emden atmospheric data of aerosol, water vapor and clouds were collected with the purpose to provide needed reference data over oceans for global modeling and satellite remote sensing. Aerosol amount and size as well as water vapor were sampled with a handheld sun-photometer during the day at times when the sun-disk was not obscured by clouds. Though multibeam has been recorded during the cruise, it was not a major focus and the responsible party provided no acquisition information. |
