Abstract | SO245 aimed at a comprehensive description of the structure and function of the microbial community with up-to-date molecular biological tools in the Southern Pacific Ocean. This included investigation of the vertical and horizontal distributions of the microbial community throughout the oligotrophic SPG across biological gradients and from surface waters to the deep, dark "twilight zone", and finally into the sediment surface. Though multibeam has been recorded during the cruise, it was not a major focus and the responsible party provided no acquisition information. |
