Abstract | The main geoscientific objective of SO75-3 was the variations of the warm saline Mediterranean outflow (MOV) during the Late Pleistocene and Holocene. But also to investigate marine geological of the Mediterranean outflow on the southwestern continental slope of Portugal. The secondary goal was the compilation of the technical experience gained during this cruise in a users handbook, which was updated after the ships repair in the dockyard in 1992 and distributed, to the relevant institutes. Though multibeam has been recorded during the cruise, it was not a major focus and the responsible party provided no acquisition information. |
