Purpose | |
Abstract | The broad goals of SO96-1 were to estimate the volume of fluid venting from the Aleutian margin and its chemical variation. A second goal was to understand the nucleation of large earthquakes in this highly seismic area around Unimak und Shumagin. Though sound velocity profiles have been taken to support the multibeam recording, further acquisition information have not been provided. A total amount of 900 km2 were measured during SO96-1. |
